Artist Lucy Pullen and astro-particle physicist Justin Albert are working together on this project, with engineer Mark Lenkowski, shop technician Chris Secord and computing wizard Chris Tooley at UVic, and Andy Baker of Kontraptionist in NYC. The shell was sent from New York to the University of Victoria (in British Columbia, Canada), in a crate that looks like this.
